Have you ever noticed how you speed up in your mind when you’re stressed? I may only have one or two really important things on my list for the week and yet it feels like I have a million things that must be done and it all just feels very overwhelming and very heavy. I also tend to spend lots of time in my head. Overthinking things, remaking decisions on things, just spinning inside my mind. And the one thing that brings me back to my centre the fastest is this exercise I want to share with you today. It will help you to calm your racing mind. Get perspective, and refocus on what matters most to you.

It is a simple 5 minute exercise you can do whenever you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or just like you need to slow your mind and your body down. Redirect your attention away from the noise, and towards your goals and the outcomes you want to create for yourself.

Save this episode, share it with your business bestie and listen to it whenever you need to get yourself out of your overthinking mind and into your body, creating safety and calm for yourself.

Our emotions and how we feel in any moment has a profound effect on the action we take day to day. If we’re feeling hopeless, tired, overwhelmed, fearful, doubtful, we show up very differently than when we feel excited, content, hopeful, calm.

Feeling our emotions can be very uncomfortable. You might even feel as if you’re at the mercy of your emotions. That you don’t have control over them. You’ve probably heard the saying: what we resist, persists. This is true for our emotions. If we resist feeling them, they will only linger longer. The good news is we don’t actually need to do much. Our work is to notice the discomfort, to not avoid the emotion but to begin with acknowledging it. When we acknowledge it, we aren’t fighting it, we aren’t pretending it’s not there. We’re saying: "I see you."

And when we do this. The emotion we've been holding onto so tightly releases its grip on us.

I hope this episode has given you some insight into managing the cash in your business better.
