Ep #74 The Visibility System

There are 4 systems every service-based mom entrepreneur needs if you wants to build a business that can support you in living the life you wants to live instead of always working, always being plugged into your business, and not being able to switch off from it because if you’re not doing every single thing then your business doesn’t exist. 

We cannot manage what we don’t measure. Having clear systems helps us to manage our business more effectively because we can measure what works and what doesn’t. It also helps to eliminate busy work and to problem solve faster because you know exactly where to look for when you are not getting the results you want.

Let’s recap the four systems we are covering in this 5 part episode series:

  • Attraction/ Visibility System

  • Sales/Conversion System

  • Delivery System

  • Cash System

If you haven’t listened to Episode 73 yet, I highly recommend you do since this episode and the following episodes are all going to build on each other and break down exactly what these systems are and how you can get started on implementing them into your business. This is your gateway to creating more harmony between your business and your. 

What is a visibility system and why do you need one?
Simply stated, your visibility system is the series of steps you follow to become visible to your people. It is the things you do and the tools you use to be seen by your ideal customer.

This is like the sign on the building that says “Hey, We are here!”

Remember, a system can be automated. If you have a way of doing something automatically with the use of software or a tool, fantastic! This means things can happen while you sleep! However, don’t think that every moving part of a system must be automated.

The purpose of your Visibility (and any other) system is to have a consistent way of doing that leads to a specific result. 


All systems must tie in to the bigger purpose and promise of the business.

Your visibility system must answers this question:


“How do we attract our people?”


The answer to this question will tell you what tools, processes, and steps allow you to be seen by your ideal customer. It will also show you how those parts interact to give you the result of an interested audience.

You might be tempted to make this system complicated, or to add things that you would like to do instead of sticking to what you are currently doing.

Don’t fall in this trap.


The first step is to map a system of what is already working. So that we can evaluate it, measure it, and make it even more effective.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to extract your visibility system and document it:

  • How/Where do people find you?

  • If you already have clients coming to your business, how does this happen?

  • Are you posting on social?

  • Do customers come to you from referrals?

  • Do they find you on Google?

Take stock of the journey your customer goes through to get in front of your door.

Once you have the broad outline of steps you can dig a little deeper and define the process of each of those steps. 

Once you have your system in place, decide what you will measure so that you know when there is a kink in the system. Choose 1-3 metrics that will instantly tell you when the system is flowing vs when there is a bottleneck.  

That’s it! You are well on your way to creating a business that runs with more flow and ease.
